Easy Cupcakes with Chocolate French Silk

You had us at chocolate and easy cupcakes. This recipe takes a classic cupcake and tops it with our Royal Delights French Silk, chocolate chips and raspberries.


  • 1 package Royal Delights Chocolate French Silk
  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder sprinkles
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk (or 1 cup milk + 1 tablespoon lime juice)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 12 cupcake liners


  1. Preheat oven to 350 F
  2. Batter: mix all dry ingredients with a whisk or a fork, add eggs, buttermilk (or milk with lime juice), oil, and vanilla until mixed well; Stir in the boiling water; Portion the batter into the cupcake pan (add the cupcake liners first) with a 1/3 cup measure and bake for 10 to 15 minutes (10 minutes for mini cupcakes and 15 minutes for regular size cupcakes), cool it down
  3. Frosting: follow the package instructions for the Chocolate French Silk, set aside; Microwave the dark chocolate for 30 seconds and repeat the process until melted, add the heavy cream and stir; Combine with 1/3 of the Chocolate French Silk, add the remaining and transfer into piping bag; Pipe the frosting onto the cupcakes, garnish with sprinkles or fresh berries.
