Salted Caramel and Dark Chocolate Patriotic Cake

  • 1 package Royal Delights Chocolate French Silk
  • Red, white and blue sprinkles
  • 1 package Royal Delights Salted Caramel
  • Caramel syrup
Cake batter:
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk (or 1 T lime with 1/4 milk)
  • 1/8 oil
  • 1/3 cup water (warm)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup crushed dark chocolate chips.
  • 7' round cake pan or a quarter sheet pan


  1. Follow the instructions for the Chocolate French Silk
  2. Follow the instructions for the Salted Caramel
  3. For the cake batter: Combine all dry ingredients, stir; Add the liquid ones and stir. Pour into a cake pan (Spray with baking oil first), and bake at 350F for 15 to 20 minutes; Cool it down
  4. To assemble: Divide the cake into two even layers; Add the Salted caramel as a filling, drizzle the caramel syrup, cover with the cake top and coat with the Chocolate French Silk, garnish with sprinkles
