Cherry Glazed Popcorn

Who knew you could pair popcorn and gelatin? We did! Follow this recipe to create your very own gourmet popcorn. Our cherry-glazed popcorn recipe is the perfect mix of sweet and salty.


  • ½ cup mushroom popcorn kernels
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoon water
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Royal Cherry gelatin
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • Full sheet pan or a large cake pan


  1. In a small saucepan add the water, salt, lemon juice, and sugar and mix well before cooking (wet sand texture) with the lid on; After 2 to 5 minutes with medium heat it will start to turn light golden, turn the heat to low and stir the gelatin and the baking soda
  2. Pop the mushroom corn according to the instructions, transfer it into a large cake pan or sheet pan, spread the caramel on top and bake in preheated oven at 350 for 10 minutes, stir the popcorn after 5 minutes in the oven
